Boa Uva BV is a company established in the Netherlands whose mission is to import and distribute wines from all over Spain, with an emphasis on Galician wines.

Boa Uva means “Good Grape” in Galician, local language in Galicia. The reason why to choose Boa Uva as name is because Manel Méndez, founder of Boa Uva, considers that there are not bad grapes, all grapes are good. You may like the wine or not, is a matter of your taste.

Our business project materialized due to the lack of presence of Galician wines on the Dutch market.

Galician wines are well known to be called the Atlantic wines due to its acidic, structure and minerality.

Boa Uva wine selection is done personally by Manel to offer you a great catalog of wines to ensure that you will be delighted with a great glass of wine.

Boa Uva BV objective is to be the reference company for the import of Galician wines to the Netherlands.

My name is Manel Méndez founder of Boa Uva BV and born in A Coruña, Galicia, Spain in 1978.

I have been living out of my mother land for the last 18 years. During this time, I was missing my beloved Galicia, its food, its wines, its people…

We, people from Galicia, are well known in Spain for our strong feelings and connection to our land, that we call “morriña” (homesick in Galego).

My morriña was so strong, that after 8 years living in The Netherlands and discovering the lack of presence of Galician wines on the Dutch market, I decided to establish Boa Uva (Good Grape in Galego).

Boa Uva represents a combination of my Galician roots and my passion for wines, bringing the best of me and my land for you to enjoy in The Netherlands.
